Drain Field Rejuvenation in Jupiter & Jupiter Farms

A drain field that is slow, soggy or backing up does not always need to be dug up and replaced. Rejuvenation restores flow through the existing field for a fraction of the cost, and it is the most requested septic service we offer.

How Drain Field Rejuvenation Works

Over years of use, the soil around a drain field seals over with a layer of biological sludge called biomat, and the lateral lines fill with solids. Water stops absorbing, the field stays wet and the tank backs up into the house.

Rejuvenation reverses that. LCI pumps the tank, opens and jets the distribution box and lateral lines, and restores absorption in the soil so the field can take water again. The exact method depends on the system, the soil and how far along the failure is, which is why every job starts with an evaluation. We tell you honestly whether rejuvenation will hold or whether the field is beyond saving.

What's Included

When Rejuvenation Is the Right Call

Rejuvenation is ideal for fields that have slowed down from years of use, soggy spots or extra-green grass over the laterals, gurgling drains after heavy rain, and tanks that need pumping far more often than they should.

It is not a fix for a crushed pipe, a field that was undersized for the home, or one sitting in a high water table all season. When that is what we find, we say so and walk you through drain field repair or replacement instead.

Why Jupiter Drain Fields Fail Early

Sandy soil, a high water table and heavy summer rain are hard on drain fields in Jupiter Farms, Tequesta and the western Jupiter neighborhoods. Add a garbage disposal, a water softener discharge or a few extra people in the house and a field can seal over years ahead of schedule. Catching it early is the difference between a rejuvenation and a full replacement.

Frequently Asked Questions

Rejuvenation is typically a fraction of the cost of a new drain field, which involves permitting, excavation and new materials. We price it upfront after the evaluation so there are no surprises.

With a healthy tank, regular pumping and reasonable water use, a rejuvenated field can give you years of additional service. We set you up with a maintenance schedule so it stays that way.

Only an evaluation can tell. If the laterals are collapsed, the field is undersized or the soil is saturated year-round, replacement is the honest answer. We tell you either way before any work begins.

Restoring an existing system usually does not require the permitting that a new drain field does. If your system turns out to need repair or replacement, LCI handles the permitting for you.
